We are a dynamic custom crush winery located in the heart of Oregon wine country, seeking a Cellar Lead to join our production team. This full-time, hands-on role is ideal for a motivated individual with previous harvest experience who is ready to take the next step in cellar leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute work orders with efficiency and accuracy
Operate pumps for racking and blending
Conduct barrel work and wine additions
Safely and skillfully operate forklifts and harvest equipment
Perform basic maintenance on cellar equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cellar environment
Assist in monitoring the condition of wines and cellar operations
Provide training, support, and leadership to interns
Follow and help enforce standard operating procedures and safety protocols
Participate in bottling and facility maintenance as needed
Requirements:
At least one harvest of winery production experience required
Ability to lead by example, give clear direction, and work well with others
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods
Willingness to work long hours during harvest
Positive attitude, adaptability, and good problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety and respect for coworkers and shared spaces
Preferred:
Previous experience in a custom crush or multi-client facility
Strong forklift operation skills (certification a plus)
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly wage DOE $21/HR+
