Wine Salesperson for Long Island Vineyard
Location – Metro NYC
The Wine Salesperson will work to develop our product throughout the Metropolitan New York area.
This full-time position is solely dedicated to promoting, administering, and selling the products produced
by our vineyards.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with potential and existing accounts in the wine
industry.
• Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
• Develops and implements strategies for sales in the market.
• Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
• Hosts wine dinners, events, and tastings.
• Prepares and submits sales tracking reports as necessary.
• Direct sales as well as distributor management.
• Interact with delivery companies to ensure at or above standard service to customers.
• Make deliveries when necessary.
• The role is 100% sales in the new York metro area for our Eastern Long Island-based winery
• Promote brands and increase brand awareness, by increasing brand visibility
• Develop new business relationships with decision makers, and potential customers
• Ensure execution of the developed sales strategies, objectives, goals and targeted revenue
generation by partnering with key retailers and establishments in the NY Metro area
• Prepare sales presentations for accounts tailored to programs and the needs of customers
• Assist and participate in trade and consumer events
• Meet annual shipment and performance goals.
• Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
• Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Industry experience required, 3-5 years of NY sales experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of imported and domestic wine and spirits
• Strong current account relationships on and off premise required
• Self-directed, motivated, organized
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet
deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere
Compensation: 40,000
Commission: 5 Percent of sales
