Central Washington Wine Production Group, located in the heart of Washington’s Wahluke Slope, is looking for experienced cellar interns to join our cellar crew for the 2025 Harvest. Cellar operators will work hands-on in all aspects of the red and white winemaking process. Depending on the vintage, our harvest will typically begin in August and run through November. Harvest at CWWPG is fast-paced and intense, working with many red and white varieties from a diverse cross-section of Washington viticultural areas to craft our bulk wine offerings and in-house brand, UpWest. Quality and attention to detail are foremost at CWWPG.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with Cellar Operators completing general cellar work including:
• Equipment sanitation and set-up
• Wine, juice, and must transfers
• Grape receiving and processing
• Tank draining, shoveling, and pressing
• Fermentation management
• Barrel Work
• Chemical additions
• Yeast and bacteria inoculations
• Prepare wine additions in accordance with safe handling procedures and under direction of cellar supervisors and to specification of written instructions and standard cellar operating procedures.
• Ensure addition completion in accordance with written and/or verbal instructions from winemaking staff.
• Accurately complete and turn-in written work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain positive relationships encouraging strong communication and teamwork.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• NA: Reports to Grade II or higher.
General Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work safely on high catwalks.
• Must be able to work shift work and extended hours during harvest time.
• Ability to worked flexible and extended hours
• Ability to follow work orders and written instructions
Preferred Requirements:
• Previous winery experience
• Forklift experience and certification
• Strong verbal and written English
• At least conversational Spanish fluency is a plus.
Wage: Starting at $18/hr. with consideration given to prior harvest/winery experience
