Day Wines produces a wide variety of wine styles sourced from some of Oregon’s most celebrated AVAs. We strive to offer a creative, positive, and welcoming work environment, while working hard to produce the most exciting and complex wines possible. We are seeking one enthusiastic, experienced, harvest intern for our 2024 harvest crew who is looking to work an enjoyable and relaxed harvest, while expanding their knowledge base in wine work. Previous experience is required with preference given to more qualified individuals. We organize our crews to be “all-arounders” with most everyone getting a chance to participate in all facets of wine harvest based on skill level and competency. A flexible schedule and full-time availability through the duration of harvest are required. While the start and end of harvest are hard to predict, we generally anticipate an 8 week window from late September to early November.
Qualifications for the position include:
Previous harvest experience
Detail-oriented
Ability to closely follow directions
Positive attitude
Respect for safety protocols
Comfortable in fast-paced, high energy work environment
Good team member
Ability to lift 50lbs and work on your feet over long shifts
Forklift experience a plus
Written and verbal fluency in the English language
Duties:
Fruit sorting and receiving
Fermentation punch downs and pump overs
Tank and pump prep/ sanitization
Barrel cleaning, filling and topping
Juice and must sampling
Racking and blending
Daily cleaning of sorting line, press, floors, pumps, fermenters, etc

Compensation range is $23-$26+ per hr DOE plus time and a half overtime over 40 hr/week
