2025 Harvest Intern - Colgin Cellars

Colgin Cellars

St. Helena, CA

Job Description:

Since 1992, Colgin Cellars has embraced crafting wines of harmony, grace, and precision from exceptional hillside vineyards in the heart of the Napa Valley. We are looking for harvest interns to join us for the 2025 vintage at the winery overlooking Lake Hennessey.

We are a small, dynamic winemaking and vineyard team in need of a meticulous and reliable individual. Ideal candidates possess an excellent attention to detail, a passion for wine, a desire to learn, and a positive attitude.

You will have the opportunity to perform all harvest cellar activities including sanitation, fruit sorting, crush equipment operations, fermentation monitoring, pump overs, and punch downs.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with the winemaking team and see all aspects of our process from the vineyards through to fermentation. You will receive detailed technical and sensory instruction at the highest level, which will allow you to develop your own skills. Harvest forges the bond between vineyards and wines of place. Motivated individuals will have the opportunity to understand this connection and learn our process to express the inherent and distinctive character of each vineyard. We hope to foster an energized environment of curiosity where ideas are freely shared.

Requirements:
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Individuals must be able to climb ladders and stairs, lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and be able to perform all winery activities
- Commitment to working 7 days a week, with few days off and significant overtime
- Employment subject to a background check

What We Offer:
- Chef-prepared meals during harvest
- Regular blind wine tastings and in-depth wine education
- A commitment to building foundational skills in every team member. We want to empower you to reach your full potential

*We are unable to provide housing or transportation*
