Job Description:

The Vineyards at Dodon has an immediate opening for a Wine Club Manager. The position is full-time, and the candidate should be available to work most days, including evenings and most weekends; with two days off per week. The position is entry-level with opportunities to grow and take on more responsibilities.

The successful candidate must be prepared to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and business needs throughout the workday, the seasons, and within their role. They must delight in hospitality service, anticipating guests ' needs before they realize them. They must bring a positive attitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to each task and challenge. The right candidate will work indoors and out in various climates and roles – from top-tier service to physically demanding farm duties, as well as executing office and computer work. We seek a candidate with a curious mind, a respect for nature, and a love of people.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Vineyards at Dodon is a 17-acre vineyard and winery focused on restoring ecological health and biodiversity to this place and creating estate-grown wines that reflect our relationship with nature. Dodon seeks to provide its wine club members and guests with an elegant, impeccable, warm, and familiar experience. To achieve this goal, the successful applicant will share the mission of the Dodon team with guests, execute magical hospitality, perform behind-the-scenes administrative and planning, and undertake physical tasks to create clean, organized, and well-maintained spaces for events, tastings, and club activities.

Primary tasks will include:
•  Effectively communicates and collaborates with other managers to elevate the Wine Club program to its highest level. Maintains hospitality programs to the highest standard.
•  Create and execute Wine Club retention programs such as reward systems, anniversary gifts, and targeted communication.
•  Execute twice yearly wine club allocations
•  Assist in planning, executing, and evaluating wine club events, including seasonal Wine Club Allocation releases.
•  Contribute to the development and execution of new wine club tiers.
•  Database management: Enter and manage customer profiles on Commerce7 (Wine club software)
•  Support to the hospitality program
•  Office/site administration
•  Grounds Management: Water flowers and plant Daily when on site (seasonal); Keep spaces tidy and organized.
•  Assist with social media program (Facebook and Instagram) – potential to take full responsibility for social media.
•  Assist in staffing private events.
•  Correspond with customers and offer the highest level of customer service.
•  Make occasional wine deliveries.
•  Keep workspaces clean, tidy, and organized.
•  This candidate will engage with vineyard and winery staff, ask questions about production, and work on occasional production tasks like bottling, harvest, and sorting, as needed.

Qualifications
•  Passionate about wine. Demonstrate ability to learn.
•  Highest level of customer service skills; professional demeanor and appearance; outgoing personality; commitment to excellence, including the highest standards of work, accountability, and continuous improvement; ability to successfully manage priorities and workflow for multiple simultaneous projects.
•  Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work unsupervised.
•  Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
•  Must be willing to speak in public.
•  This candidate should be ready to problem solve, evolve, shift with the business’s changing needs, and come to work with a positive and creative outlook.

Requirements
•  Must have reliable transportation, be able to lift 40 pounds, and stand for 6 – 8 hours at a time.
•  Much of the work involves outdoor activities in both hot and cold conditions. Applicants must work outdoors and walk on uneven terrain, hills, and grassy areas.
•  Dodon encourages all employees to maintain up-to-date vaccinations consistent with CDC guidelines.

Compensation
•  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
•  10 days of paid time off per year.
•  Employees may not accept gratuity based on The Vineyards at Dodon’s policy.
•  Employees will receive a discount on wine and food purchases.
