About the Role
The Sales Associate CA Broad Market supports the execution of Treasury Wine Estates' (TWE) Bold sales plans in our Southern California market by working with internal teams, distributor partners, and retail accounts. This role assists in driving distribution, supporting sales programs, and promoting brand awareness in key on- and off-premises accounts. Success will be measured by the ability to support the distributor field sales team, grow product visibility, and build positive trade relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in executing sales programs and promotions at the distributor and retail level.
* Support the Director of Sales strategy with account calls, sales presentations, and field visits.
* Track and report on distribution gains, execution of programming, and competitive activity.
* Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to drive brand awareness and visibility.
* Coordinate product education and sampling opportunities with trade accounts.
* Ensure accurate point-of-sale (POS) placement and promotional material execution in accounts.
* Participate in retail tastings, wine dinners, or events to support brand building.
* Assist in monitoring distributor inventory and communicating stock levels or gaps.
* Attend sales meetings, blitzes, and market work-withs as needed, while leading education with the distributor
* Provide general administrative and logistical support to the regional sales team.
* Maintain professionalism and compliance with alcohol industry laws and company policies.
About you
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
* 2-5 years of experience in a sales, merchandising, or marketing support role.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to build rapport with customers and work effectively with distributor personnel.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
* Must be able to lift a case of wine (approx. 45 pounds) multiple times per day.
* Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
* Willingness to learn and take direction.
* Detail-oriented and organized in managing multiple tasks.
* Comfortable presenting in small group settings.
* Professional demeanor and high standard of integrity.
* Strong desire to continue to learn new skills leading to career growth
* Home-based field role with regional travel (40-60%).
* Occasional weekend or evening events (retail tastings, trade events).
Preferred:
* Wine or alcohol beverage industry experience.
* Familiarity with distributor systems (VIP, Diver) and sales tools.
* Wine knowledge or formal wine education a plus

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The annual base pay range offered for this position is $87,000 to $96,000 other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work REMOTE in either Los Angeles County or Orange County location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
