The Western Regional Trade Sales Manager is responsible for achieving new points of distribution and growing case volumes for Domaine de la Côte, Evening Land Vineyards, Sandhi, and Piedrasassi with positivity, ambition, and efficiency. You will create a culture of education and dedication that prizes authentic and memorable experiences, leading to long-term support from a growing base of distributor partnerships. Ensure distributors meet their shipment, depletion, and placement goals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the fine wine market, a proven sales track record, and the ability to articulate our wineries' unique story and philosophy.
Trade Sales:
• Execute strategic sales plans for the western region to achieve annual sales targets for both volume and revenue for Domaine de la Côte, Evening Land Vineyards, Sandhi, and Piedrasassi.
• Work closely with distributor partners to build strong relationships, provide ongoing training, set objectives, and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Conduct frequent market visits, work alongside distributor sales representatives to call on key on and off-premise accounts.
• Identify new account opportunities and cultivate relationships to secure placements and drive sales.
• Conduct engaging educational seminars, staff trainings, and tasting events for distributor sales teams, account staff, and consumer groups.
• As required, represent the wineries at trade shows, industry events, and consumer tastings.
• Participate weekly with the trade sales team in person or on Zoom.
• Travel when requested to coordinate with winemakers, marketing and sales teams.
General:
• Increase points of distribution, work to increase pricing and reduce depletion allowances.
• Work to resolve inefficiencies and barriers to success.
• Visit wineries on a regular basis.
• Be available and respond to all team emails, Slack messages, and phone calls.
• Be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays during the busy season.
State Responsibilities:
• Sales commission available on net sales in the following states: CA, OR, WA, HI, NV, NM, ID, MT, WY

• Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting the high standards of our winery.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings during peak seasons or special events.
Abilities, Qualities, and Qualifications:
• 5+ years of progressive sales experience in the fine wine industry, specifically with a focus on regional sales management, distributor management or key account management.
• Deep knowledge of fine wine, including viticulture, European wines with a strong preference for candidates with an understanding of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
• Must be able to manage collaboration relationships, events, and opportunities.
• Must have a strong interest in food, wine, and culinary exploration.
• Must be a team player and enjoy working in a dynamic organization.
• Must demonstrate the ability to be thoughtful and creative while working towards goals.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Must have the ability to facilitate esprit de corps.
• Have a desire to participate in harvest activities.
• Must be a self-starter, diligent, and solutions-oriented.
