The Winery Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Château Élan’s winery, encompassing wine tastings, retail operations, winery tours, and private events. This role ensures alignment
with brand standards while driving financial performance, enhancing the guest experience, and fostering a culture of excellence among the winery team. The Winery Manager oversees both short- and long-term planning for all aspects of winery operations, including budgeting, sales strategy, staffing, and guest programming. By identifying opportunities for innovation and operational improvement, the Winery Manager plays a key role in advancing the overall success and reputation of the winery as a luxury destination.
Plan and manage the Human Resources and operations of the Winery to achieve customer (guest, employees, corporate and owners) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
Position is responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the Winery operations. Assists in the development and recommendations for the budget, marketing plans, and objectives, and manages within those approved plans.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Tasting Room:
Lead the daily operations of the winery tasting room to ensure exceptional guest service.
Oversee staff performance during wine tastings and educate team members on wine knowledge, storytelling, and upselling.
Ensure tasting room ambiance, cleanliness, and presentation align with Château Élan standards. Retail Operations:
Manage retail wine and merchandise sales, including inventory control, dis play design, and product rotation.
Collaborate with the marketing and purchasing teams to align product offerings with seasonal and guest trends.
Track and report on sales performance, guest preferences, and retail KPIs
Retail Operations:
Manage retail wine and merchandise sales, including inventory control, display design, and product rotation.
Collaborate with the marketing and purchasing teams to align product offerings with seasonal and guest trends.

Tours & Education:
Oversee the execution of guided winery tours, ensuring educational consistency and engaging guest experiences.
Train and mentor staff on wine production, history, and the Château Élan brand.
Develop innovative tour experiences that enhance guest engagement and drive revenue.
Private Events & Group Tastings:
Partner with the Sales & Events team to coordinate private tastings, corporate events, weddings, and group experiences within the winery.
Ensure smooth execution of winery-hosted events, maintaining operational flow and staffing.
Support planning logistics including floor plans, wine selection, staffing schedules, and guest communications.
Leadership & Administration:
Hire, train, and lead a team of wine stewards, tasting associates, and supervisors.
Create weekly schedules and manage labor according to business levels and events.
Monitor P&L performance, drive revenue, control costs, and meet established goals.
Maintain all licensing, health, and safety compliance for wine service operations.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Experience
At least five years of management experience in Food and Beverage or Winery operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food and beverage hospitality profession. Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex situations.
Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
