Crown Point Vineyard is hiring a part-time Estate Host. This position is primarily Friday-Sunday shifts.
Our estate vineyard is located in the Happy Canyon AVA within Santa Barbara Wine Country, planted to the five Bordeaux varieties. Since our inception, the site has received consistent recognition across the two core wines – the Crown Point Cabernet Sauvignon and the Estate Selection (Bordeaux blend).
Our estate experiences are privately hosted and curated by a winery representative from start to finish. This entails leading guests on a tour of our expansive 100-acre property using a "Gator" utility vehicle, providing informative guidance through our state-of-the-art winery, and creating a memorable, private sit-down tasting experience where three wines are expertly paired with delicious cheese selections.
There is a tremendous opportunity for growth in various areas, including hospitality, direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales, off-site events, member engagement, and administrative support. Furthermore, the estate amenities, critical acclaim, and wine quality provide candidates with tremendous resources for success.
We seek an individual with an intuitive appreciation and understanding of high-end hospitality. If a candidate is not regularly available on weekends, please do not apply.
Responsibilities:
- Host private tours for 2-10 guests through the estate vineyard, provide a winery tour and lead a private tasting across two to three wines.
- Operate a vineyard utility vehicle (known as a Gator) across various types of terrain.

- Leverage our eCommerce platform for order processing (Commerce7).
- Fulfill orders onsite and personally load into the vehicle (if necessary).
- Ensure complete set-up and clean-up of tastings.
- Regularly wash and polish glassware.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including consistent availability on Saturdays and holidays.
Experience:
- Experience with front-of-the-house customer service in a luxury setting
- Fundamental knowledge of wine related to vineyards and wineries.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn about the specific attributes of our site and our winery's ethos.
- Understanding (and practicing) responsible hospitality, including legal parameters and liabilities associated with serving alcohol.

- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clear and understandable voice for effective communication with fellow employees, vendors, and guests.
