Attention all wine enthusiasts! We're seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as an Assistant Tasting Room Manager.

As our Assistant Manager, you'll be responsible for keeping the party flowing and the glasses clinking. You'll assist with managing our wine bar, ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable experience. You'll be the master of all things wine, confidently guiding our guests through our wine bar experience and educating them on the nuances of all our wine offerings.

But that's not all - you'll also work closely with our team to coordinate events, tastings, local business outreach, and special promotions. From live music to food pairings, you'll help us create a lively and welcoming atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back for more.

To thrive in this role, you should be a people person through and through. You'll need to be comfortable engaging with guests from all walks of life and building relationships that keep them coming back for more. You should also be able to work independently and think on your feet, quickly resolving any issues that arise and keeping the wine flowing.

The Assistant Manager will be located in one of our Woodinville locations. This person would be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and logistics of the tasting room and must be a team player, willing to learn, a self-starter, and highly motivated.

Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:
•  Work alongside Tasting Room Manager to track sales, and implement improvement plans and sales goals.
•  Work with the management team on regular promotions and events
•  Fill in the duties of the Manager as needed in the Managers absence
•  Responsible for ensuring all open and closing procedures are executed correctly
•  Perform all duties relating to payroll, and reporting, as directed by the Tasting Room Manager
•  Write the monthly staff schedule for the Tasting Room Manager’s review
•  Communicate Tasting Room issues to the Tasting Room Manager
•  Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening and weekend shifts
•  Reconciliation of weekly sales and other reporting as needed
•  Manage Tasting Room inventory including bi-weekly counts and communicate issues to Tasting Room Manager
•  Attend management team meetings and work with Tasting Room Manager to create agenda & help lead monthly Tasting Room staff meetings
•  Keep up to date on procedures, sales tips, event updates, and other pertinent information to aid sales and improve efficiency
•  Assist the Tasting Room Manager in the direction, planning, and coordination of winery events as needed. Be the first line of communication for all event requests, either via phone or email.
•  Ensure that all opening and closing procedures are properly followed
•  Manage shipping orders, processes, and be able to resolve any issues that arise
•  Ensure that all Tasting Room staff follows responsible hospitality standards at all times
•  Give direction to staff and delegate responsibility as needed
•  Resolve guest concerns/complaints using good judgment and professionalism and courtesy
•  Maintain a friendly, warm, and clean tasting room environment (inside room and outdoor areas)
•  Work with Tasting Room Manager to create and execute engaging, educational, and memorable positive guest experiences that build brand loyalty
•  Nurture an atmosphere of teamwork and enthusiastic employee relations among the Tasting Room staff
•  Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and/or situations, and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
•  Perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing multi-tasking and leadership
•  Will be requested to attend occasional special events and tastings outside the winery
•  Ensure, by performance and example, that Alexandria Nicole Cellars culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions, which includes both ethical and legal aspects, complying with federal and state laws and company policies and procedures
•  Work in conjunction with Wine Club Manager and Management Team to plan and prepare for successful Wine Club Releases
•  Performs other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:
•  4-year degree in the field of hospitality or wine business and/or 3-4 years of professional experience in the field.
•  Must be available and willing to work evenings and weekends
•  Computer skills including Microsoft products and willingness to learn new programs
•  Team player who can work well with others while also being self-motivated
•  Professional and Responsible
•  Good written and oral communication skill
•  Contribute ideas for events, marketing, and ways to improve overall
•  Communicate effectively and respectfully
•  Passion for knowledge of fine wine and willingness to learn more
•  Excellent hospitality, sales, organizational, and customer service skills
•  Strong attention to detail
•  Highly customer service oriented
•  Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:
•  Able to stand in place and walk for long periods of time
•  Able to lift 50 pounds and walk with it
•  Stand, kneel, stoop, bend, lift without any difficult
