We're looking for a passionate Wine Enthusiast & Sales Extraordinaire to join our family at Royal We Wines!
The Collective tasting room showcases multiple Thomas Rivers Brown projects, including Caterwaul, Matthew Wallace, Aston, RIV, and Switchback Ridge, with more projects anticipated in the future.

We’re a small, family-owned boutique tasting room nestled in the heart of St Helena and we craft some of the most exceptional wines in the region. From our age-worthy Cabernets that tell the story of our terroir, we create an extensive portfolio that includes distinctive whites, outstanding reds, and premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, plus more, that consistently earn acclaim from critics and wine lovers alike.
Essential Responsibilities
* Hospitality and sales are the main focus
* Warmly welcome guests and lead personalized, thoughtful, and profitable tasting experiences.
* Create memorable guest interactions by sharing our story in a compelling and natural way.
* Maintain an elegant atmosphere while managing multiple guest groups effectively.
* Anticipate guest needs, accommodating special requests and occasions to surpass expectations.
* Collaborate with the Tasting room manager to execute on/offsite events seamlessly.
* Stock wine, set up and break down for tastings, and assist with daily hospitality activities.
* Support the team with monthly inventory management.
Sales and Relationship Building
* Cultivate and strengthen member relationships while establishing new connections.
* Promote wine and non-wine product sales, driving interest in new memberships and exclusive offerings.
* Document precise guest details in our Drive, including birthdays, anniversaries, and special requests.
* Craft personalized emails and notes to express gratitude to guests post-experience.
* Engage in outreach to mailing lists, concierges, and industry networks to foster client relationships.
Operational Support
* Open and close the winery, ensuring all procedures are completed accurately.
* Input orders and maintain customer notes promptly and accurately.
* Represent Royal We Wines at external functions as required.
* Attend team meetings and collaborate on tasks to support the overall operation of the estate.
Experience
* Minimum 3-4 years of experience in premium winery tasting rooms, hospitality, or retail sales.
* Background in highly allocated wine or luxury brands is preferred.
Skills and Attributes
* Superior customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and sales.
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in POS systems and Google Drive.
* Professional appearance and demeanor with a cheerful and positive attitude.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
* Passion for wine and eagerness to expand expertise.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
* Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
* This is a full time position Thursday-Monday

Compensation and Benefits
* Hourly wage: $25 - $35 hour, based on experience.
* Commission-based incentives.
