Position Overview
At B Cellars, a Sales Associate occupies a central and indispensable position, serving as the crucial initial touchpoint and ongoing relationship cultivator for our valued clientele. This is not a conventional tasting room environment; rather, it is a setting where exceptional hospitality standards and ambitious sales targets are paramount. Success in this role hinges significantly on your innate ability to forge genuine connections with our guests through their private tasting, skillfully adapting your approach to their varying levels of wine knowledge and experience. You will be entrusted with presenting our meticulously crafted wines in an accessible and engaging manner, articulating their unique qualities and compelling narratives in such a way that resonates deeply and naturally encourages purchase. Your adeptness at showcasing our offerings and membership opportunities in an irresistible light will be a key driver of our continued success and the fostering of lasting customer loyalty.
This is a part-time/full-time, career-minded position with a competitive compensation package that includes benefits (full-time positions only) and bonus opportunities. We are open seven days a week, and the ability to work on weekends, some nights, and holidays is mandatory.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Minimum High School diploma (College preferred but, not required)
- Weekends and some evenings/holidays are mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of consistent experience in a sales-related field
- Strong knowledge of wine and winemaking process
- Must have an understanding of POS software, Ship Compliant, and G-Suite/Microsoft Office (knowledge of Commerce 7 is a plus)
- Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, bend, climb, and walk for extended periods
- Work under variable temperature conditions (extreme hot/cold)
- Work with variable noise levels
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy objects (40-50 lbs) on a repetitive basis
Compensation and Benefits
- $32 - $38 per hour (range based on experience) plus gratuities
- Sales performance bonus plan
- Benefits available for full-time employment
