POSITION SUMMARY
The Wine Club & eCommerce Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of wine club operations and online sales. This includes growing and retaining membership, managing fulfillment, executing sales campaigns, supporting customer service, and ensuring shipping compliance. This role partners cross-functionally with hospitality, marketing, and operations teams, and manages seasonal staff and vendor relationships. Some weekend and evening work is required for events and key campaigns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Wine Club
•  Lead day-to-day operations including fulfillment, membership growth, data management, and incentive tracking.
•  Meet or exceed sales, signup, and budget targets; develop and maintain club budgets, sales projections, and invoice reviews.
•  Design and implement strategies for customer retention and loyalty programs.
•  Collaborate with the DTC Director to launch and optimize new club programs.
•  Produce monthly communication calendars, including offers, newsletters, and testing campaigns.
•  Coordinate and execute club events with the Tasting Room and Hospitality teams.
•  Oversee shipping logistics, ensure rate accuracy, and maintain compliance with direct-to-consumer shipping laws.
•  Manage vendor relationships related to compliance, fulfillment, and inventory.
•  Serve as a knowledgeable brand ambassador for Sequoia Grove at the winery and at off-site events.
•  Support company-wide initiatives related to sustainability, safety, and operational policies.
•  Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
eCommerce
•  Develop and execute an eCommerce strategy to drive online, phone, and text sales, in collaboration with the Director of Consumer Sales & Marketing.
•  Create and distribute branded email campaigns; manage timing and execution of seasonal promotions and offer calendars.
•  Analyze performance metrics such as conversion rates, average order value, and campaign ROI; report on findings and recommend optimizations.
•  Manage accurate product setup in Commerce7, including tasting notes, images, pricing, and scores.
•  Forecast demand for new releases and coordinate inventory for promotions, bundles, and fulfillment channels.
•  Troubleshoot and resolve customer service issues involving orders, returns, compliance, or website functions.
•  Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce cart abandonment.
•  Partner with the Marketing Manager on sourcing printed materials, packaging, and branded merchandise.
•  Manage creation and testing of discount codes, bundles, and promotional offers.
•  Provide coaching and insight to the sales team to increase engagement and performance.
•  Review wine inventory regularly to support effective vintage sell-through.
Leadership & Collaboration
•  Hire, train, and lead Wine Club team members to achieve service and sales goals.
•  Maintain current SOPs and enforce high standards of professionalism and hospitality.
•  Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture across DTC and Tasting Room operations.
•  Work closely with Tasting Room, Marketing, Finance, and Payroll teams on planning, operations, and staff development.
•  Coordinate on wine selections, physical inventory, staff training, and business development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
•  BA in Marketing, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
•  Minimum 5 years of experience in wine industry sales, customer service, or DTC operations.
•  Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
•  Highly detail-oriented with strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable with POS, database tools, and eCommerce platforms.
•  Able to work weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role is primarily based in the winery’s DTC office, with occasional duties in production or event spaces. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 45 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be made when necessary.
