Sales Manager – Wine Importer

Job Description:

Are you passionate about fine Italian wines and eager to drive sales in one of the most dynamic markets in the U.S.? A leading importer of premium wines is seeking an ambitious and experienced Regional Sales Manager to grow our presence in New York.

About the Role:
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing relationships with distributors and retailers, and implementing effective sales strategies to expand our brand’s footprint. Your expertise in wines and connections within the industry will be invaluable in securing placements, driving revenue, and fostering partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities
•  Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to maximize market penetration
•  Collaborate with distributors to ensure strong representation and sales growth
•  Educate Distributor Representatives, Retailers and Restaurant buyers through tastings and events
•  Stay current on industry trends and market dynamics to drive results

Qualifications:
•  Proven experience in wine sales or beverage distribution, preferably with a major in Italian wines.
•  Minimum 5-years of experience as an Importer Rep and or Distributor Territory Manager.
•  Strong industry network in New York with distributors, retailers, and restaurants
•  Ability to develop and maintain strategic business relationships
•  Excellent communication and negotiation skills
•  Fluency in Italian is a plus, but not required
•  Microsoft Office / IDig experience is a plus
