Position?Summary
The Shipping Coordinator leads all inbound and outbound logistics for Wine?Club, e commerce, wholesale, and tasting room shipments. Working cross functionally with Production, Wine?Club, Accounting, and Tasting?Room teams, the role ensures every order is picked, packed, documented, and delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with wine shipping regulations. In addition to hands on fulfillment, the Manager owns inventory accuracy, packaging supply procurement, carrier relationships, and continuous improvement projects that elevate guest and member experience.
Key?Responsibilities
Area Core Duties
Wine Club & DTC Fulfillment • Coordinate and execute monthly Wine Club releases, online orders, and tasting room shipment requests.• Resolve returns, lost/damaged packages, and unclaimed will calls with the Wine?Club Coordinator; credit and re inventory as needed.
Shipping & Logistics Operations • Serve as primary contact for all incoming/outgoing freight.• Schedule pickups, generate BOLs/compliance docs, and track deliveries; expedite or reroute when required.• Move product between production, on site, and off site warehouses; deliver wholesale orders to accounts.
Inventory & Packaging Management • Maintain real time inventory of finished goods, collateral, and shipping supplies; perform cycle counts and reconcile variances.• Order cost effective packaging (including Costco spec via proprietary software) and branded materials; ensure stock on hand for club and promo launches. • Lead, schedule, and coach a Pack Out Team (2?–?6 employees) plus temporary/seasonal hires to meet Wine?Club and holiday surge volumes;
Operational Accuracy & Communication • Own data integrity in Commerce7/ShipCompliant and internal trackers; publish daily fulfillment and inventory reports.• Draft and refine SOPs for pick/pack, inventory control, and carrier hand offs; train and cross train team members.• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders to prevent delays and elevate customer service.

Team, Safety & Compliance • Operate and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely (certification required).• Enforce OSHA, PPE, and ABC/TTB shipping regulations; keep work areas audit ready and spotless.• Champion a positive, “hospitality first” culture; mentor seasonal or cross departmental staff.
Facilities & Workspace Upkeep (NEW)
• Lead the daily cleaning and organization of all shipping related and shared storage spaces—warehouse aisles, dock, packaging loft, and off site facilities.
• Establish weekly 5 S walk throughs (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain); post scorecards and drive corrective action.
• Coordinate with Cellar, Tasting Room, and Maintenance teams to schedule deep cleans, pallet racking resets, and seasonal purges.
• Manage cleaning supplies budget and vendor relationships; ensure equipment, recyclables, and waste are disposed of in compliance with safety and sustainability standards.
Required?Qualifications
• 21?years of age?+; valid CA driver’s license.
• Experience:?3+?years in shipping, fulfillment, or logistics (wine or beverage preferred).
• Forklift certified or able to certify within 30?days.
• Proficiency with Commerce7, ShipCompliant, carrier portals, and Microsoft?Office.
• Proven ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and maintain meticulous accuracy in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service orientation.
Preferred?Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Prior supervisory experience and knowledge of wholesale distribution requirements.
Physical?Requirements
• Lift, stack, and move up to 50?lbs repeatedly; stand, bend, and twist for extended periods; occasional ladder use.
• Work in varying temperatures (cellar, warehouse, outdoors) and noisy environments.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment daily.
