No job is too big or too small for our dynamic team that passionately educates, communicates, and markets on behalf of the 1,800 grape growers and vineyard owners in Sonoma and Marin Counties.??In addition to the work of the Sonoma County Winegrowers (SCW), there is a management services agreement with the Sonoma County Grape Growers Foundation (dba Fundacion De La Voz De Los Vinedos) which supports our local vineyard employees in the areas of education, resiliency and workforce development.

Sonoma County Winegrowers is seeking an innovative and energetic marketing manager to provide marketing, communications and operations support to our local, regional, national and global marketing initiatives and partners. This person must love agriculture, family business and wine and believe in the long-term value of preserving our local farms in the community.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:?
- Assist the Director of Marketing with the creation and execution of the annual marketing strategy, plan, and budget
- Work with regional, national and global partners including Ford Pro, San Francisco Giants, Food & Wine Magazine, Landry’s, Wilbur Ellis and others
- Support branding efforts that elevate Sonoma County wine region and Sonoma County Winegrowers, including a focus on sustainability, climate stewardship, world-class wines and the region’s diversity
- Develop social media program strategy and manage its implementation across both SCW?and SCGGF?
- Manage social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn) including creation, tracking, and monitoring content, and provide regular updates to Director of Marketing and Marketing Committee
- Obtain insights from grape growers, wineries, suppliers and consumers that will drive storytelling and communication efforts for Sonoma County wine region?
- Oversee podcast and radio show programming??
- Manage websites for SCW and SCGGF including content creation and managing SEO to ensure SCW and Sonoma County wine region are searchable across key topics?
- Oversee and edit as needed all eblasts and communications for SCW & SCGGF??
- Write monthly program recaps that can be shared with board and growing community?
- Develop and maintain key messages and hot topics for both SCW and SCGGF?
- Establish relationships with key media, both trade and consumer, in order to insure regular coverage of Sonoma County and its grapes and wines?
- Plan and attend marketing events, media dinners, Somm education and outreach that supports Sonoma County brand and region in Sonoma County and around the US
- Other support as assigned?

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with academic coursework in a relevant discipline (i.e., marketing, communications, journalism, public information, business administration or other closely related fields of study)

Excellent English language communication skills including the ability to read and summarize material in a broad range of professional publications and the ability to write clear, concise and compelling reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Fluency in languages other than English will be considered a plus, especially Spanish.?

Knowledge and personal proficiency to use all Microsoft Office software as well as the Internet.?

Must be able to travel to support the promotion of the region.
