Anderson Family Vineyard
Position: Winery Bookkeeper/Business Assistant/Multiple Hats
Summary: Anderson Family Vineyard is a 33 year old, small family operated winery in Oregon’s Dundee Hills. For over three decades we have grown and made premium wines exceeding our customer’s expectations. Our success has led us to seek bookkeeping and business assistance. We need a strong producer to fulfill most of the winery’s financial duties so the owners can focus on our primary tasks of growing, making and selling fine wine. We are searching for a seasoned individual with common sense, bookkeeping skills, computer and organizational ability who can operate independently at the winery.
Duties:
Bookkeeping: Payroll for as many as a dozen employees (seasonal) working for two separate businesses. Must be skilled with QuickBooks. Bank statements and checkbook reconciliation. Manage payables and accounts receivable. Filling out 1099’s and year end reporting to accountants. Winery compliance reports.
Wine Club Management: Data base entry and updates, keeping accounts current, billing and issue resolution. Organizing and implementing bi-annual wine club shipments. Willing to learn and use proprietary, cloud based software to manage wine club files and records electronically. Will also require frequent interaction with wine club members via email and phone. Ability to create email marketing documents. Arranging DTC shipments and processing sales campaigns .
Time and Work Requirements:
- Bookkeeping skills and experience required.
- Must respect the proprietary and confidential nature of all customer and employee data and information.
- Must meet and exceed exceptional standards for honesty, communications and professionalism.
Hardworking, productive and a good/match for the culture/environment of our family owned business with owners who work on site.
- High level of computer sophistication. Skilled with MS Office, QuickBooks and a quick studying learning our proprietary, cloud based customer management software, Google Docs and social media savvy.
- Help hosting tastings. One on one tasting setting.
- Helping out with bottling runs that happens in the spring time.
- Helping out with harvest from sorting fruit, organizing harvest lunches and etc.
- Available to meet regularly with the owners and Anderson Family Vineyard team.
- Willing to learn about the industry, diversify and wear many hats.
Benefits: Full time position. Final compensation & benefits is commensurate with experience.
