Certified Organic growers, Napa Green Vineyard and Winery certified, Woman-Owned & led since 1999.
Tres Sabores Winery, widely recognized as one of the Napa Valley’s most highly regarded “hidden gems”, seeks a talented, experienced professional to join our intimate team in a diverse DTC role. You will work closely with the Owner and Operations Manager to help plan and supervise the day-to-day operations of the tasting room in addition to fulfilling an array of DTC duties in the office. The ideal candidate is imaginative, efficient, and a self-motivated leader who will both celebrate our small, farm-winegrower aesthetic and forward our success. A commitment to support our culture of regenerative farming, conservation, and social values is essential. And, it goes without saying: Must love dogs!
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Leading by example to provide personalized, inspired, and in-depth tasting experiences to guests. Help design, teach, and cultivate a culture of creativity, excellence, spontaneity, and a “show must go on” spirit within the hospitality team.
-Assist with special group tastings and events from reservation intake through contract completion, logistical planning, coordination and staging of the event, and follow-up.
-Working with the owner to develop and execute effective outreach/off-site events with distributors, accounts, wine club members, and prospective customers.
-Practicing the “art of scheduling” tasting experiences with guests to optimize their visit, using our own unique reservation calendar. Providing concierge and other customer services.
-Engaging in personalized, courteous, and highly literate correspondence with all customers, consistent with professional business etiquette.
-Working with Management to assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining communications programing (POS, text offerings, enhanced email and website communication)
-Taking the lead to help the team successfully navigate through the day, acting as the “glue”: anticipating customer and service needs, solving issues that may arise, keeping the daily scheduling on track.
-Helping to maximize and grow relationships with our partner network (concierge, driver services, key social media, professional trade affiliates) to grow visitation and forward service goals.
-Engaging in multiple DTC support activities (shipping, wine club member queries and new member follow-up , order entry, donation management, statistical tracking, and more). As a small team, no job is too small!
Qualification Requirements:
-Experience serving wine in a professional setting. Expertise gleaned from working in a variety of tasting room settings is desirable.
-Exceptional writing and editing skills. Must have experience in Outlook, Reservation platforms, DTC management platforms. Experience with graphic arts and Adobe design products is a plus as is a solid financial skill set.
-Ability to provide exceptional customer service; a mature and intuitive decision maker who is known for consistently making positive and safe decisions.
-Possess a passion for wine and a personal motivation to provide high quality, “discovery” experiences for guests. Certifications, national and international travel to wine regions are a plus. A love of all things, and wine, is ideal!
-High level attention to detail, organization, and efficiency.
-Weekend shifts required. Availability for occasional evenings and holidays for events. Open to traveling to offsite events.
-Must be 21 years or older
-Bilingual in Spanish a plus, but not mandatory
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to lift and maneuver 40–50-pound cases of wine multiple times a day, be able to stand and walk the service, garden, and vineyard areas of the property, often on uneven surfaces, for long periods of time. Must be able to push, pull, and manipulate boxes or dish racks.
Schedule:
Four days a week including weekends to start, Thursday through Sunday. Potentially, flexibility to grow the position to full time and more managerial in nature, including outreach/travel as meets the applicant’s professional goals.
