Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Texas Sales Representative for the US Team is responsible for driving the sales growth and brand promotion of the Takara Sake USA portfolio in Texas. Sales expertise and market analysis, strong communication and time management skills, a results-driven personality, and an ability to develop relationships are required to maximize sales within the territory.


Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement sales and marketing programs for the territory, to meet or exceed the company’s annual sales goals.
-Work with distributors’ brand managers and key individuals to achieve sales goals, keeping them up to date on sales progress; analyzing the market; and advising on portfolio management.
-Work with distributors’ sales representatives, and participate in sales meetings, on-site training, and trade events to grow market visibility and product knowledge. Develop relationships with key distributor personnel (KAMs, District Managers, etc.) to drive business and put focus on Takara’s brands.
-Serve as the key customer contact for the territory, building and maintaining relationships with top on and off premise accounts.
-Generate weekly and monthly reports of sales progress and market analysis for senior management
-Coordinate and execute market events (tastings, dinners, and festivals) to drive sales and to grow customer base.
- 80% time spent in market, 20% administrative tasks


Education, Experience and Skills Required:

-Bachelor’s or associate’s degree
-Minimum 2 years alcohol industry or consumer packaged goods sales experience with a supplier, distributor OR other relevant industry experience.
-Proficient in basic mathematical skills, including analyzing sales data
-Strong computer skills encompassing MS Office, collaboration software e.g. Zoom, Google Suite
-Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels and backgrounds of employees and external contacts
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
-Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines and a problem-solving mentality.
-Working knowledge of federal, state, and local alcohol regulations


Special Requirements:

-Valid driver’s license, with a driving record in good standing
-Ability to travel at least 50% of the time (within the U.S.), plus internationally when needed
-Ability to drive for long distances and/or periods of time when necessary
-Ability to work special events/functions, including nights, weekends, or holidays, and in variable environments and conditions
-Ability to evaluate products for possible flaws or inconsistency in quality
-Certification by the relevant alcohol beverage authority to pour for tasting events, where required
-Registered with the relevant alcohol beverage authority to work as a sales representative, where required
