Warehouse Specialist Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, package, and arrange outbound shipments
• Receive inbound shipments from private clients, vendors, and suppliers
• Generate outbound shipping labels
• Local travel, as necessary, to pick up or deliver product
• Support warehouse movements and organization
• Troubleshoot and investigate any issues with order deliveries and pickups
• Answer incoming calls from clients, suppliers, and vendors, taking detailed notes and connecting them with the appropriate party
• Inventory coordination including quarterly counts
• Perform on-site inspection of wine and spirits, ensuring adherence to company conditioning standards
• Place web orders for clients
• Other responsibilities as may be determined

Skills & Qualifications:
• General global wine and spirits knowledge or enthusiasm
• General knowledge of warehouse operations
• Self-directed with high personal quality expectations
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, ability to juggle several simultaneous projects
• Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Forklift certification a plus
• Valid driver’s license
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and type. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
