Dutton-Goldfield Winery
Harvest Intern
We are looking to build our 2025 Harvest Team!
When acclaimed winemaker Dan Goldfield and legacy farmer Steve Dutton inspired to partner and craft their best version of Russian River Valley Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the result has been a 25+ year legacy of producing small quantity, exceptional wines from Dutton Ranch vineyards in Sonoma County with the expression, structure and complexity that have defined Dutton-Goldfield for decades. Today, Melissa Stackhouse, who joined Dutton-Goldfield in 2022, leads winemaking and custom crush services, continuing the winery’s legacy of excellence. Dutton-Goldfield produces terroir-driven wines using fruit selected from the Dutton family’s 80 Russian River vineyards as well as other cold coastal sites in Northern California and has expanded to include Pinot Blanc and Zinfandel showcasing the winery’s diversity and mission to create food worthy, sustainable, and most importantly, enjoyable wines.
Our winery is located between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. We also provide custom crush services, so you will have the opportunity to work with a handful of other varietals and learn other winemaking styles.
We are looking for motivated and eager candidates, both local and international, who would like to be involved in all aspects of harvest, including but not limited to processing fruit, fermentation management, inoculations and additions, barrel work, cleaning and sanitization, and forklift operation.
Qualified candidates will possess an eagerness to learn, passion for wine, and strong work ethic. 1-2 harvests are preferred. Forklift skills are highly desired. Ability to work independently and pay attention to detail.
Projected start and end dates are mid-August to beginning/mid November, but dependent on the season. During harvest we work 10-12 hour days, 6 days a week and provide weekly harvest lunches and snacks.
We offer cellar and lab internships. Please indicate which internship you are interested in applying for.
We are a small, close-knit team that works hard and enjoys what we do. We look forward to sharing and learning from the 2025 harvest with you! If you would like a memorable experience crafting coastal Pinot noir and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley - Sonoma County - California.
