The company is looking for a highly customer-service-oriented sales assistant responsible for all aspects of the Direct to Consumer (DTC) experience. The position includes, but is not limited to, scheduling reservations, sales data entry, phone support, wine sales, and winery tasting-tour visits.
The company is an ultra-premium Napa winery with a limited production of wines exclusively made from the estate vineyards on the eastern hillsides of Napa. Responsibilities:
• Assist the DTC Team with providing winery visitors with excellent customer service and world-class tasting experience
• Help out the DTC Team in opening and closing procedures
• Restock wines in the retail area and tasting rooms
• Book reservations for tours and tastings; this includes answering phones, answering winery-related questions, confirming reservation appointments, and concierge services
• Complete web reservations
• Support the DTC team by greeting guests, offering water, and escorting guests to the restroom located in the back of the facility
• Assisting the DTC operations with data entry and order input
• Assist guests with transporting wine to their cars
• Work events and dinners as needed in addition to the regularly scheduled workweek
• Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as needed
Qualification Requirements:
• Well developed sales, hospitality, and customer service skills is recommended
• Previous wine-related sales experience is a strong advantage but not a firm requisite (we will consider candidates from the hotel or restaurant industry)
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passionate about fine wines and winemaking
• Strong attention to detail and a general commitment to quality in all aspects of work
• Highly accurate data entry skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others as part of a high performing team
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience using the eCellar point of sale and customer relationship management platform is a plus
• Spoken fluency in a second language, mainly Spanish or Japanese, would be an advantage
