We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our sales team at our wine shop in downtown Napa. This is an exciting opportunity with a company dedicated to producing outstanding wines. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in luxury wine sales.
This position will represent and communicate the culture and philosophy of our growing company. You will need to be able to converse comfortably with both wine novices and experts. We are looking for someone with a passion for selling all things Napa Valley.

Maison Fayard is the first of its kind, owned and operated by a winemaker. Proprietor Julien Fayard shares wines he produces across Napa and California, including those from Beau Vigne, Purlieu, Julien Fayard Wines, and Patel, among others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service in all areas of sales and hospitality.
Create and execute an exclusive experience for each customer: confidently discuss our wines, varietals, winemaking and viticulture practices, growing areas, and producers.
Promote the sale of wine products and accessories sold in the shop, and drive interest in new memberships.
A strong focus on closing sales and upselling is crucial.
Cultivate continued sales outside of physical hosting through virtual/internet and phone sales.
Be a strong advocate and help drive business through referral outreach and relationship building.
Collect names and email addresses for future contact.
Learn POS systems and manage high-volume wine transactions. You must possess a high level of integrity in performing sales transactions.
Be accountable for tracking wine and retail inventory.
Assist with events: execute timelines, manage closing and securing of the venue, conclude events, stock supplies, and maintain displays in retail areas.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
At least two years of experience in a premium winery tasting room, hospitality setting, and/or retail sales position.
Must be flexible and available to work weekends, special events, and holidays.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Enthusiasm for wine and interest in expanding expertise.
Superior customer service skills and service-driven approach.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, positive, and professional disposition when dealing with guests, vendors, and team members.
Be a team player, working with other team members to reach monthly and quarterly goals.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.
Physical requirements
Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 40 pounds at varying frequencies.
Ability to operate various types of machinery, including, but not limited to, dishwashers and polishers.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
