Job Summary: Field Sales / Western Suburbs
The Maverick Beverage Company Field Salesperson is expected to be, and responsible for, always positively representing Maverick Beverage and their Suppliers and Brands in a positive and professional manner with customers and consumers. The Field Salesperson is an essential frontline worker responsible for the advancement of Maverick Beverage Company goods, and the attainment of multiple supplier goals. The Field Salesperson is responsible for the associated service to customers necessary to fulfill their needs and maintain and better partnerships between key customers, on and off premise, and Maverick Beverage Company. This person is expected to exemplify the values that Maverick Beverage Company embraces and upholds and be a positive contributor to the wine & spirits community.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Regularly service key accounts within assigned territory
- Seek out and develop new customer relationships
- Have a strong understanding of Maverick Wine Co brands and continually develop wine knowledge overall
- Use provided analytics to develop target lists for consultative selling
- Attain monthly / quarterly / annual / targeted goals set forth by Maverick Wine Co.
- Travel to and attend industry events as needed
- Work trade events within territory to further selling opportunities and partner with customers
- Regularly handle payments between Maverick Wine Co and customers
- Provide in market intel and account level information to management team
- Communicate with teammates and management team to better and bolster a supportive team-centric culture at Maverick
- Ethically and responsibly represent the core values of Maverick Wine Co. and their associated suppliers
Qualifications:
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and open mind
- Will to develop new business and expand existing customer count
- Applicable wine sales experience
- Open minded to change and evolution
- Strong organizational and selling skills
- Knowledge of Federal / State / Local liquor regulations
- Strong business acumen and industry
- Positive and energetic
- Honest and driven to build a positive culture
Working Conditions:
- Daily travel throughout assigned territory & Northern Illinois
- Ability to lift 45lbs
- Long and / or irregular working hours during peak seasons
- Physical work – merchandising product and setting up special events
- Available for all company events during regular business hours and occasional evenings / weekends
