LIMERICK LANE CELLARS

Healdsburg, CA

Job Description:

Cellar Hand Harvest position - early August through November with the potential for longer. Looking for 2 hard-working, positive and dedicated people to work in a small and dynamic winery. Experience is not critical...we can train. We have a few leads for short-term housing in the area. Harvest lunches are provided on pick days. Part-time position would also be considered for 2-3 days per week.

Limerick Lane Cellars is a small family winery producing world-class wines from 50 acres located in the Russian River Valley in Healdsburg. Planted in 1910, these ancient vines create wines of distinction that only the right combination of wind, fog, sun, soil, and 110 years can provide. We produce about 5000 cases per year and anticipate about 100 tons of fruit in 2025.

The ideal candidate will be able to follow written and verbal instructions, have a strong work ethic, be highly dependable, a quick-study, and have a positive attitude. Experience in the following cellar activities is preferred but not required: receiving and processing fruit, pump-overs, punch downs, barrel prep and filling, equipment sanitation. Must be able to lift and carry 50+ lbs. You will get to learn all aspects of the business and never have 2 days alike.

The intern will be part of a small, hard-working team dedicated to making superb wines. You will work in all aspects of harvest activity including but not limited to: winery sanitation, grape sampling, pump-overs/ punch downs, drain and press operations, barrel filling, fermentation monitoring, and forklift operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to work with some of California's oldest Zinfandel plantings as well as Rhone varietals like Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache, etc.
