2025 Harvest Intern

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Avennia Winery is looking for a motivated, dedicated, hardworking individual to help with the upcoming harvest. Avennia is set to crush 175 tons. We work with some of the most iconic vineyards in the state and source a large variety of grapes. Projects the intern would be working with include Avennia, Liminal, Passing Time, Lydian and our estate program.

This is a paid internship. The ideal intern will have a passion for winemaking and interest in pursuing a career in the industry. This is a fantastic educational opportunity to advance your skills in small lot, detail-oriented winemaking.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with daily fermentation monitoring
- Sort and process fruit
- Cleaning
- Equipment sanitation
- Punch-downs twice a day
- Pressing
- Barrel work


QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be available to work mid-August through late November (Depending on vintage).
- Must have a flexible work schedule throughout harvest.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with loud music playing.
- This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Be qualified for U.S. Employment
