Position Summary:

ACCOUNTANT

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with wine industry-related work experience working with multiple entities. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will play a critical role in various aspects of the company including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and banking in addition to various assigned accounting tasks and responsibilities.

Key Accounting Responsibilities:
•  Support Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely posting of all invoices.
•  Recording all Customer payments as well as miscellaneous invoicing.
•  Prepare and post journals as part of the period close cycles and verify accurate financial reporting.
•  Review and post all daily banking activities outside of payroll, covering six separate accounts.
•  Provide support to the teams in order to prepare and file monthly compliance reports.
•  Ongoing general ledger maintenance to ensure accurate financial reporting and documentation.
•  Assist with documenting procedures and controls.
•  Other related accounting duties as assigned.

Professional Requirements:
Education/Experience: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related experience. 2+ years’ equivalent experience including managing multiple entities in the ERP, preferably in a wine company.

Skills: Strong attention to detail with an analytical ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently follow through on projects. Able to work as part of a team, managing competing demands and deadlines. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment with enthusiasm. Demonstrated ability to lead and interact effectively with management and other departments as well as outside agencies and partners. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Strong computer skills with NetSuite ERP experience highly desirable.

Physical: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
