Uptown is offering an exciting opportunity to work in the entertainment industry in downtown Napa. The ideal candidate is comfortable with a flexible schedule based on business needs and may need to work an occasional weekend day. Thirty plus hours is the average weekly commitment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accounts payable using Bill.com and QuickBooks
• Cash management – Prepare and make deposits
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Create monthly financial statements
• Manage contracted event payment needs
• Complete 592 tax withholding and payments
• Process show costs
• Assist with employee timekeeping
• Perform onboarding and training
• Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a team as well as independently.
• Proficiency in Excel
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in accounting and/or payroll
• Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements
