Summary:
As a Bottling Forklift Driver, you will be a key contributor to the efficient operation of the winery's bottling production floor. Your primary responsibilities include transporting dry goods and finished products, supporting multiple bottling lines, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This role involves rotating between bottling lines based on production needs, requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and collaboration.
Reports to: Bottling Manager/Bottling Supervisor
Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $22 - $24
You Will:
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets of materials and finished goods across multiple bottling lines.
Rotate between bottling lines to support varying production demands and ensure seamless workflow.
Perform daily pre-operation safety checks on forklifts; report mechanical issues promptly.
Stage and verify dry goods for each line, ensuring materials match production requirements.
Ensure the correct pallet, tags, and product are used by cross-checking against MRM documentation.
Confirm stretch wrapper settings and ensure proper placement of tags on all finished pallets.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and pallet logs.
Mark and organize finished product lanes for clear identification and accessibility.
Identify and report any damaged goods, shortages, or quality concerns to the Bottling Supervisor.
Restack, wrap, and label pallets as needed to maintain product integrity.
Load and unload trailers as directed by the Bottling Lead or Supervisor.
Change propane tanks and store empties in designated cages.
Dispose of trash and recyclables in compliance with facility procedures.
Assist with general bottling floor duties and support team operations as needed.
Adhere to all safety protocols, GMPs, PPE usage, and company policies.
Other duties as assigned.
You Have:
2–3 years of forklift operation experience required; winery or beverage industry experience preferred.
Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage tasks across different production lines.
Good organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work extended hours and rotate shifts based on production schedules.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Requires frequent bending, twisting, standing, and walking.
Work takes place in a warehouse and bottling environment that may be cold, wet, noisy, and/or fast-paced.
