Job Summary:
As the Hospitality and Events Manager at our Rutherford flagship winery, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating unforgettable onsite events while fostering business growth through strategic planning and exceptional service. You will manage the hospitality team to seamlessly provide memorable experiences, manage and achieve sales goals, and meet the long term plan for ONEHOPE traffic, revenue, and membership growth. Your dedication to providing personalized experiences and your skillful forging of meaningful partnerships will contribute to the continued success and reputation of our winery as a premier wine tasting and event destination.

Responsibilities:
Event and Winery Experience Planning and Execution
- Act as the primary point of contact for private event clients through all event planning stages, addressing any queries or concerns that may arise and providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Coordinate and conduct onsite visits for potential event clients, showcasing the winery's unique features and amenities to highlight its suitability for their events.
- Collaborate with GM and assist in developing business proposals, contracts, and pricing strategies to secure profitable event partnerships and long-term client relationships.
- Create comprehensive Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for each onsite event, detailing event timelines, room setups, menu selections, and any special requirements, working closely with the Winery Chef.
- Liaise with rental companies to coordinate the delivery, pickup, and payment of necessary equipment and supplies for onsite events.
- Collaborate with ONEHOPE team to plan and execute internal winery and member events.
- Utilize event management software, such as TripleSeat, to streamline planning processes and maintain organized event data for all onsite events.
- Supervise onsite event setup and teardown, ensuring adherence to the BEO and client requirements for a flawless event experience.
- Manage inventory levels of essential in-house event supplies including glassware and napkins, arranging for regular restocking and ensuring proper storage.
- Maintain event and hospitality financial summaries including costs, revenue, lead conversions, sales conversions, etc.

Hospitality Management
- Work closely with GM to strategically develop monthly goals to achieve targeted revenue and acquisition objectives.
- Manage daily operations of the Tasting Room including staff scheduling, wine orders, reservations, opening and closing procedures, wine inventory, auditing POS transactions, payroll, monthly staff commission tracking.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date event and reservation calendar, meticulously recording all booked events, appointments, reservations, and activities taking place onsite.
- Manage the hospitality sales and service team including duties such as individual performance evaluations, staff training, supporting sales goals, accountability, and SOP development. Ensure continual growth and development of the team.
- Ensure responsible procurement of hospitality supplies including food, stemware, place setting items, and other tasting room essentials.
- Continual outreach and networking with winery peers and referral sources.
- Collaborate with Allocation & Communications Manager for CRM support and acquire deep knowledge of guests’ history, preferences, and connection to ONEHOPE. Work together to develop unique retention strategies and experiences to surprise and delight.
- Create menus and other personalized collateral, along with brand presentation materials.
- Connect the guest experience at Estate 8 to the Tasting room promoting private experiences/events, capturing potential leads from visiting guests, while providing exceptional and welcoming hospitality. Ensure VIPs are treated with utmost respect and attention, paying attention to small details and personalization.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Wine knowledge with certification in WSET or Sommelier a bonus.
- Ability to motivate, train, coach, and discipline employees.
- Talented in seeking opportunities and solving challenges, with strong team communication skills.
- Proven experience in event and hospitality coordination , preferably within the hospitality or wine industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, winery e-comms, and event management software are a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Passion for hospitality, with a dedication to delivering memorable experiences to clients and guests.
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills, able to take charge and work independently and proactively.
