Job Title: Vineyard Manager
Location: Erwinna, Delaware River Valley AVA, Pennsylvania
Type: Full-Time
About Us:
Our 50-year old historic estate is nestled in the Delaware River Valley AVA, with approximately 14 acres currently under vine, comprised mostly of Chardonnay, Riesling, and Cabernet Sauvignon. We’ve recently launched an extensive renovation campaign that will redefine the property, brand and portfolio. Our goal is to build a winemaking and vineyard team that can produce high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of this beautiful region and provide a level of excellence in hospitality within our property. We are seeking an experienced Vineyard Manager to lead the care and management of our vineyard, from seasonal planning to day-to-day operations, with a commitment to sustainable viticulture and excellence.
Responsibilities:
•  Report directly to Winemaker and/or executive leadership
•  Oversee all aspects of vineyard management, including planting, pruning, canopy management, irrigation, pest and disease control, and harvesting.
•  Develop and execute vineyard plans to optimize fruit quality and yield, in alignment with our winery's production goals.
•  Manage and supervise vineyard staff, contractors, and seasonal workers.
•  Conduct soil analysis, monitor vine health, and implement sustainable viticultural practices to maintain soil and plant health.
•  Operate and maintain vineyard equipment and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs as needed.
•  Work closely with the winemaking team to ensure fruit quality meets production standards.
•  Record and report vineyard operations, including tracking labor, materials, and input use.

Qualifications:
•  Minimum 3-5 years of experience in vineyard management or viticulture, preferably in an AVA or similar wine-growing region.
•  Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
•  Degree or certification in Viticulture, Enology, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
•  Strong understanding of vineyard practices, pest management, and equipment operation.
•  Ability to work independently and lead a team, with a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations.
•  Commitment to sustainable and environmentally conscious viticultural practices.
