Cellar Worker I, Nickel & Nickel Winery

Founded in Oakville, California in 1885 and restored in 1979,the House of Far Niente is consistently recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

We are seeking a Cellar Worker to support our production activities for Nickel & Nickel Winery. Our Cellar Worker, level I will perform cellar operations under the direction of the Cellar Master and cellar team leaders.

You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:

Under supervision, perform and complete cellar operations including barrel work and sanitation of winery equipment.

Assist more skilled cellar workers as directed with winery operations including crushing, topping, racking, pressing, and bottling.

Operate winery machinery as needed after appropriate safety instruction including but not limited to pumps, steamer, CO2 dispenser and ozone generator.

Follow maintenance request program.

Review and be familiar with all FN Production procedures.

Maintain and improve winery cleanliness while promoting safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will be qualified for this role if you met these requirements:

•  1 to 3 years of directly related experience.
•  Ability to calculate figures.
•  Ability to communicate effectively in the predominately used language.
•  Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
•  Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, ascend, and descend stairs.
