Tasing Room Associate Description FT/PT
We're looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Tasting Room Associate. The ideal candidate will have previous hospitality experience and exceptional customer service skills. They should be articulate and professional and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing our guests with the best possible experience.
Tasting Room Associate Duties
•  Motivated team player who prioritizes guest relationships, sales, and wine club sign ups.
•  Ensures all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner.
•  Attend outside events when necessary, such as winemaker dinners or AVA related events.
•  Represent the brand to the best of ability by learning the wines. To tell our whole story and why we think it is important.
•  Promote and sell consumer-direct programs, special events, off-site events, wine club education programs, vineyard & winery tours, etc.
•  Connect and engage with guests with a hospitality mindset.
•  Assist with physical inventory in the tasting room.
•  Ensure tasting room and inventory areas are clean, neat, and stocked at all times. Implement and maintain high visual standards to ensure a pleasant environment.
•  Collaborate with co-workers to provide a superior guest experience.
•  Open, close and operate cash registers.
•  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with good presentation skills.
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and occasional evenings.
•  Ability to remain standing and actively working for the full shift.
•  Be comfortable addressing and talking to large groups of people.
•  Be able to help multiple groups while behind the bar.
•  Be able to lift 45 lbs.
•  Prepare the tasting room for opening and/or closing.
•  Present, pours and educates the consumer on selected wines for tasting and assists consumers with their purchases.
•  Act as an informed resource for consumers regarding wines, availability of products and brand awards and accolades.
•  Operate POS system accurately and efficiently.
•  Stock merchandise & supplies.
•  Maintain attendance and timeliness
•  Present oneself in a professional, put together manner on a daily basis and adheres to appearance and attire standards set forth by management.
•  Team focused, ready to jump in and help wherever needed.
•  Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and workflow while providing exceptional, high-level customer service.
•  Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction.
•  Ability to work harmoniously with coworkers

Tasting Room Associate Pay and Benefits
•  $17-$20 an hour plus tips and commissions
•  Health insurance and dental insurance are available to FT employees after probation period.
Experience and Education
•  Must be at least 21 years of age
•  RBS Certification required within 2 months of employment
•  Serve Safe Certification optional
