Skurnik Wines & Spirits is seeking a Corporate Accounts Field Representative to service our growing business in the on and off premise chain aspect of our business in Northern California. Candidates must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, problem solve, and communicate effectively. With an expanding portfolio of wines, spirit and sake, our sales team is growing, and we provide excellent training.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior sales experience working in wholesale distribution is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant experience will also be considered
• Strong interest and curiosity in learning more about wine, spirits, and the distributor/import business
• Must reside in the Bay Area. Strong preference for candidates in located in the East Bay
• Sales Training a plus – knowledge of basic sales skills like “steps to the sales call,buyer types, closing”
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to self-start and work independently
• Detail-oriented and solution-focused
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively
• Must have a current driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform manual duties required to merchandise a wine shop
• Computer proficiency
o Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel
o iOS devices and applications
o Internet navigation
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage, prioritize, and efficiently call on a route of chain accounts in Northern California
• Participate in Demo Supports in Off Premise Chain accounts.
• Build relationships with the bar managers, wine stewards, purchasers, & Store managers
• Develop expertise of Skurnik’s deep portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool to establishing successful sales
• Work closely with Corporate Director and Corporate Order Administrator
• Conduct staff trainings
• Participate in evening in-store tastings and promo’s
• Merchandise Skurnik Product on the shelf, end caps, and case stacks.
• Participate in resets for new stores.
• Conduct in-store surveys on SRP, cold box placements, and shelf facings.
• Activate DSD sales with our corporate partners
• Participate in monthly sales meetings

COMPENSATION
$60,000 - $70,000 plus a fine benefits package, including health, dental, flexible spending, and 401K matching. (Eligibility timelines vary).
