Cavender Creek Vineyards & Winery is in search of a motivated and experienced winemaker with an exceptional work ethic. The individual will be expected to execute year-round production and lead the winemaking team in pursuit of crafting high quality wines.

• Cavender Creek Vineyards & Winery is a small boutique winery nestled in the Dahlonega Plateau AVA at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Established in 2009, we craft estate-grown wines and collaborate with trusted growers on the West Coast to complement our offerings. Our mission is to create high-quality wines in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the charm and beauty of North Georgia wine country.
Responsibilities
• Full oversight of wine production.
• Collaboration with owner on portfolio direction and blending.
• Ensure production records are current and in compliance.
• Contracts with growers to provide fruit for processing.
• Works with vineyard manager to assess estate fruit during harvest and coordinate picking decisions.
• Coordinate with bottling company on scheduling bottlings throughout the year.
• Tracks inventory and prepares monthly excise spreadsheet.
• Prepares annual TTTB return.
• Recruits and hires all staff and interns to assist with cellar operations.
• Represent Cavender Creek at on and offsite events such as wine club pickups, dinners, and pouring events as directed.
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and long hours during the growing season and harvest.
Qualifications
• Degree in Enology, Viticulture, or related field preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of winemaking or cellar experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift certified.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
