RAW Cider Company practices traditional methods, mostly French, with a contemporary approach to attain clean, balanced and interesting products. All of our cider is fermented with the yeast that is on the fruit at the time of harvest. A light hand guided by a solid understanding of biology and chemistry allows us to follow the fruit’s fermentation naturally and with little interference. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for our guests, welcoming them with poise, professionalism, and warmth. Working closely with the Tasting Room Manager, you will oversee guest flow, manage reservations, ensure property readiness, and step in to support service when necessary. This role is essential in upholding our standards of excellence, from the moment guests arrive to their final pour. Location: Dayton, OR
Compensation: $16/hour + Shared Tip Pool
Schedule: Part-Time/seasonal position Weekends required.
What you will do:
- Warmly greet and seat guests, ensuring smooth pacing and timely table turnover
- Support the hospitality team with service needs, polishing glassware, and prepping tasting room for guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready tasting room, including completing opening and closing cleaning duties
- Prep and ensure food accompaniments are ready prior to service
- Monitor the flow of service and assist in keeping the team on track throughout the day
- Promptly respond to guest inquiries via phone
- Resolve guest concerns graciously and professionally and know when to reach out to Manager for assistance
- Collaborate with management to support sales and wine club membership goals
- Perform all opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and polishing
- Accurately process orders, reservations, and shipments through the POS system
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our cider offerings, shipping policies, and CRM tools
- Provide concierge-level service, including local recommendations for lodging, dining, and activities
- Support team members during cidery events and peak seasons
- Maintain a collaborative, upbeat attitude rooted in high-quality service
What you will bring:
- 1+ years in a hospitality environment
- Familiarity with Oregon luxury beverages and a strong passion for our valley and the many local products unique to our area.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid OLCC Alcohol Server Permit & Oregon Food Handler’s License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with TOCK and Shopify is a plus
- Strong communication skills and comfort navigating guest conflict with professionalism
- Goal-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for supporting the sales team
