The On Premise Sales Consultant will be responsible for the developing relationships and expanding business within the assigned account territory. The Sales Consultant must be willing to independently plan and execute assigned sales goals and supplier initiatives. This person will also be expected to provide and execute customer service and professionalism at the highest level. This Sales Consultant will be expected to plan and execute team, buyer, and consumer events during daytime business hours, evenings, and weekends.
Daily Functions:
Account Visits within territory
Product presentations of new and priority items
Supplier market work withs weekly
Planning and executing monthly, quarterly, and yearly assigned goals
Opening new accounts and increasing market share across beverage types in existing accounts
Conducting staff training seminars to help drive velocity
Coordinating and executing events and promotions in assigned territory
Navigating all customer issues and communication in a timely manner
Studying our portfolio, sales reports, and account product sets to identify targets
Managing inventory needs for assigned route
Recapping daily, weekly, or monthly business as needed
Abiding by TABC guidelines
Must be able pass drug screening, basic physical, background check, and have a clean driving record
Physical Demands:
Frequent tasks (75%-100% of the day that could last from 6-10 hours depending on the number of cases sold and delivered for that day)
This position could consist of standing, sitting, kneeling, squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, lifting, twisting, stair climbing, and reaching/overhead reaching
Standing for long periods of time
Travel within assigned Sales Route Daily 75%
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years in distribution and/or hospitality
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
Proven wine knowledge such as WSET or CMS
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and able to operate a computer
Must own a vehicle and maintain insurance
Must be able to be licensed by the TABC, must be 21 years old to apply
Able to lift at minimum 40 pounds and stand for lengthy periods of time
