We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee the purchasing, coordination, and inventory management of all dry goods essential to our bottling operations—including glass, corks, capsules, labels, and related packaging materials. This role will serve as a critical liaison between our Winemaking, Sales & Marketing, and Accounting teams to ensure seamless alignment of production timelines, material availability, and customer fulfillment.
About NW Wine Company:
NW Wine Co. is a custom winegrowing facility, specializing in the production of ultra-premium Pinot Noir for which Oregon’s Willamette Valley has become world-renowned. NW offers an all-inclusive service encompassing all steps of the winemaking process from vine to barrel to bottle. In addition to the winemaking facility, the company owns six distinct vineyard properties in the Willamette Valley, totaling over 1200 acres. The vineyards are predominantly planted to Pinot Noir, but also have substantial plantings of Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Aside from custom-winegrowing, NW Wine Co owns and globally distributes both Westmount Wine Co. and pioneering Oregon winery, Hyland Estates.
Key Responsibilities:
-Dry Goods Procurement
-Source, purchase, and manage inventory of all packaging materials (glass, corks, capsules, labels, etc.).
-Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
-Forecast supply needs based on bottling schedules and sales projections.
-Production & Bottling Coordination
-Work closely with the Winemaking team to develop and update the bottling plan.
-Ensure all dry goods are ordered and received in advance of scheduled bottling dates.
-Maintain contingency plans to address delays or shortages.
-Cross-Functional Communication
-Liaise between Sales & Marketing and Winemaking to align product releases with packaging and inventory readiness.
-Interface with customers and wholesalers to communicate timelines and order status as needed.
Inventory Management & Reporting:
-Oversee dry goods inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock.
-Collaborate with the Accounting team to support inventory builds and cost analysis.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in inventory management systems (Vintrace).
-Manage documentation for procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Qualifications:
-3–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, ideally within food & beverage.
-Experience in wine industry is a strong plus.
-Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
-Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
-Proficiency with inventory and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle NetSuite, or similar).
-Collaborative mindset and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
