Summer Dreams Winery, a luxury wine producer in Healdsburg, CA, is looking for a full-time Laboratory/Cellar Technician. This is a hybrid position, with work consisting of both lab and cellar work. You will be an integral part of a small team working constructively and assisting where needed. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing luxury wine group.

Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

Laboratory:
o Daily and monthly sampling of wine, juice or must from vessels
o Post-process analysis following pressing, racking, blending, filtration, additions, bottling, etc.
o Perform analysis using OenoFoss, dissolved oxygen meter, carbodoseur, Sentia, refractometer and outside lab services
o Obsession with accuracy in data entry to the winemaking database (Innovint), excel and google docs
o Recognizes and resolves any discrepancies in data
o Calibration and sanitation of lab equipment
o Maintain a clean, stocked and organized lab/nutrient area
o Help with monthly inventory and end of year audit inventory
o Help in creating BOLs and managing shipping and receiving
o Prep wine for bottling including gassing headspace, checking DO/DCO2
o Bottling quality control, checks and documentation
o Weekly facility cleaning and organizational tasks (Lab, Storage Room, Office, Restroom, etc.)

Cellar Work:
o Support the cellar team year-round throughout crush, fermentation, aging, blending, bottling and repackaging
o Assist in repackaging of wine and keeping counts

Harvest:
o Ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain standards
o Monitor Fermentations: Taking daily brix and temperatures with DMA
o Recording and inputting data on Innovint in a timely manner
o Vineyard sampling, processing and performing analysis
o Perform additions and inoculations with a sense of urgency at their pivotal times
o Help receive and maintain inventory of nutrients, yeast and additives
o Daily assisting with punchdowns, pumpovers and argon gassing
o Sanitation of equipment and facility when needed

Requirements
Previous experience 1+ years in lab and/or cellar work preferred
Excellent organizational skills, detailed oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
