Last June we opened our new tasting room, Obsidian Base Camp, in the heart of the historic Sonoma Square. A natural oasis smack-dab in the middle of downtown, we’ve created an immersive experience where we can share the beauty of Northern California, our love of adventure, and the singular stories behind our wines.

This position is perfect for someone looking to work with a small team of fun professionals while flexing their hospitality and sales experience a few days a week and on-call as needed by the team.

If you are someone that is excited about hospitality, and selling wine through stories is your super-power, this position may just be for you. We need a special someone who is available to work on the weekends, and occasional after-hour events. Not interested in Full Time, we are also looking to hire a Part Time/On Call team member.

We are a fun, hardworking team, focused on providing down-to-earth hospitality, an unpretentious tasting experience, telling our stories, and building solid relationships with our customers and members.

To be a good fit, you should be:
•  ? Ready and willing to learn.
•  ? Approachably wine geeky, ie interested and curious about wine
•  ? Engaged by the Obsidian story, and an engaging storyteller yourself (see website for more info).
•  ? Prior experience in the restaurant & hospitality business a super-duper plus.
•  Able to translate a good customer experience into sales.?
•  ? POS software and/or tablet savvy.
•  ? Committed to a supportive team culture of kindness, collaboration, integrity, and inclusion.
•  ? At least 21 years old.
•  ? Must be able to lift 40 lbs in the form of 9-liter cases.
•  ? Have reliable transportation.
