Barrel 42 is Southern Oregon’s premier Custom Crush winery. We specialize in premium, small lot White, Rose’, Red and Sparkling wines. You will work on behalf of a variety of distinguished vineyards and wineries to produce world class, award-winning vintages. Our philosophy is low intervention and high attention, with nods to winemaking traditions tailored for the modern palate.

Job Summary:
As a Cellar Worker, you’ll play a critical role in the daily operations of our state-of-the-art production facility. From harvest to bottling, you’ll assist in various stages of the winemaking process, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, safety and, above all, quality in every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Assist with grape processing during harvest (fruit receiving, crushing, destemming, press operations)
•  Fermentation monitoring and management (punchdowns, pumpovers, Brix & temperature checks, additions)
•  Sanitize and operate equipment including pumps, tanks, hoses, and barrels
•  Racking, blending, and filtering wines
•  Barrel maintenance (topping, cleaning, sulfuring)
•  Bottling line support
•  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cellar environment

Qualifications:
•  Prior winery or production experience a plus, but not required – we’re happy to train the right person
•  Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
•  Comfortable working in variable conditions (wet floors, temperature swings, loud equipment)
•  Forklift certification or experience, or able & willing to learn
•  Team-oriented with a good attitude and strong work ethic
