Job Description:

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support various marketing initiatives for the Augusta Wine Company portfolio and campaigns aimed at enhancing our brand presence and driving customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing, a strong understanding of digital platforms, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
•  The Marketing Assistant will assist the Marketing Director with the creation and execution of the Marketing Strategy, Social Media and Special Events. A key role in this is communication and content gathering for marketing purposes including website updates, social media, videography, photography, graphic design, emails, and other assistance. Monitoring and responding to questions & comments across social media, as well as creating, printing, preparing, and distributing flyers, posters, signage, etc.
•  Social Media Management – Utilize various channels to create brand identity, awareness, and community for the four winery locations. Create reels, stories & other engaging content, keeping up with trends, to expand on each unique brand identity. Schedule content, analyze statistics and audience engagement, organize paid campaigns, build beneficial partner brand opportunities and relationships.

•  Basic Digital Reputation Management – monitoring online reviews and feedback, report on and draft replies to be coordinated with and approved by location managers and/or Marketing Director.

•  Basic Website Maintenance – WordPress format (i.e. adding events to calendar plug-ins, uploading images, keeping verbiage, content, and imagery up to date).

•  Event Coverage – including physically working on-site and off-site events, most often to capture, create and post social media in real time (photos, videos, reels, etc. during events at multiple locations). Follow through with comprehension of cloud storage and ability to upload all photos and media to the shared Drive for wrap-up coverage and future promotions.

•  Design – including printed and digital flyers, social graphics, and other promotional materials all to a set standard and in coordination with the Marketing Director for event awareness and winery individuality.

•  Creative copy writing – including for social posts, digital newsletters, printed & digital marketing materials matching the appropriate professionalism and dialect per media

Skills
•  Outstanding communication skills, with a customer-service orientation– ability to clearly convey information, active listening, providing and receiving constructive feedback, confidence to clarify when questions arise.
•  Creativity – both as a method of problem solving as needed and for bringing new ideas to the board.
•  Team mindset – including taking direction from the Marketing and Event Directors, responding to and considering all location manager and team member needs, willingness to pitch in for all duties at all locations as needed i.e. assisting at the tasting bar for large groups, assisting customers at checkout or with direction, assisting with event set-up and clean-up.
•  Time management – including the ability to productively multi-task, prioritize, and respond to team member needs within a timely manner for multiple locations.
•  Confidence. The ideal candidate would not be afraid to direct traffic, flag someone down, speak to large crowds, and resolve problems as soon as they arise.
•  Prior experience or knowledge of event management, marketing techniques, and social media management
•  Organization – including logistical thinking through pre-event or marketing campaign steps, all steps involved in execution of events and campaigns, and post event clean-up and campaign/marketing follow up.
•  Detail Oriented – for event organization and execution, in written and verbal communications, campaigns, and promotions.
•  Digital graphic design, an understanding of SEO, art direction for photoshoots, experience in basic HTML
•  Software experience: Adobe Creative Cloud programs (photoshop, illustrator, after effects), basic camera and Google analytics understanding, Yelp, Trip-Advisor and WordPress.
•  Monitor & report consumer feedback on Trip Advisor, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram etc.

Physical Demands
•  The ability to frequently lift, move, and load cases of wine (approx. 35lbs each), must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time, sitting or standing. Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
•  The ability to work in an office setting with multiple people and/or distractions. At offsite events with fellow employees, large crowds of customers, and noise. Must be able to maintain reliable transportation to get to and from work sites and events.

Office hours are primarily Monday-Friday with seasonal weekends required.
Pay: Starting rate of $16 Hourly (based on experience) plus event-based gratuity
