Job Title: Assistant Winemaker
Location: Alto, NM, USA
Reports to: Head Winemaker

Job Summary:
The Assistant Winemaker supports the Winemaker in all aspects of wine production, from grape to bottle. This role involves hands-on work in the cellar, lab, bottling line and vineyard, assisting with fermentation management, blending, bottling, and quality control to ensure the production of high-quality wines.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in fermentation monitoring, racking, blending, and bottling operations
Maintain accurate records of wine movements, lab results, and production activities
Perform laboratory analyses and interpret results to guide winemaking decisions
Oversee cellar operations and ensure cleanliness and organization
Supervise and train cellar staff during harvest and production
Assist with vineyard assessments and grape sampling as needed
Help maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

Degree in Enology, Viticulture, or related field preferred but not required
3+ years of winemaking or cellar experience
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours during harvest
