Duties:
- Plan, organize, and execute various events such as weddings, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and social gatherings
- Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences
- Arrange for necessary equipment, decorations, and catering services
- Manage event budgets and ensure all expenses are within the allocated budget
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and products
- Oversee event setup, including seating arrangements, audiovisual equipment setup, and decorations
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless coordination between different aspects of the event
- Maintain accurate records of event details, including attendance, expenses, and feedback
Experience:
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination roles is essential
- Knowledge of guest services, banquet operations, hospitality industry practices, catering services, fundraising events, hotel or restaurant management is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, vendors, and team members
- Attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the event are properly executed
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in using event management software or tools is desirable
