Job Description:

Jarvis is looking for a highly customer-service-oriented sales assistant responsible for all aspects of the Direct to Consumer (DTC) experience. This position includes, but is not limited to, wine sales, winery tasting-tour visits, scheduling reservations, sales data entry, and phone support.

Jarvis is an ultra-premium Napa winery with a limited production of wines exclusively made from our estate vineyards on the eastern hillsides of Napa. Jarvis is passionately committed to producing the highest possible quality wines. We carefully consider and design every facet to craft excellent wine from our viticulture and winemaking practices and our unique subterranean winery.

Responsibilities:
•  Assist the DTC Team with providing winery visitors with excellent customer service and world-class tasting experience
•  Help out the DTC Team in opening and closing procedures
•  Restock wines in the retail area and tasting rooms
•  Book reservations for tours and tastings; this includes answering phones, answering winery-related questions, confirming reservation appointments, and concierge services
•  Complete web reservations
•  Support the DTC team by greeting guests, offering water, and escorting guests to the restroom located in the back of the cave
•  Assisting the DTC operations with data entry and order input
•  Assist guests with transporting wine to their cars
•  Work Jarvis events and dinners as needed in addition to the regularly scheduled workweek
•  Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as needed

Qualification Requirements:
•  Well developed sales, hospitality, and customer service skills is recommended
•  Previous wine-related sales experience is a strong advantage but not a firm requisite (we will consider candidates from the hotel or restaurant industry)
•  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Passionate about fine wines and winemaking
•  Strong attention to detail and a general commitment to quality in all aspects of work
•  Highly accurate data entry skills
•  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others as part of a high performing team
•  Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
•  Experience using the eCellar point of sale and customer relationship management platform is a plus
•  Spoken fluency in a second language, mainly Spanish or Japanese, would be an advantage
