Supply Chain Specialist/Tasting Room Associate

Job Description:

Do you enjoy working as part of a growing business and close-knit team? This position is available for an experienced hospitality professional interested in expanding their knowledge into the back end of the wine business while still getting to interact with customers in the tasting room.

Left Coast Estate is in search of a special self-starter to join our team and manage supply chain logistics (inventory, shipping, compliance, and wine allocation planning) and work part-time as a tasting room associate. The ideal candidate would be dynamic and able to switch between their two primary duties seamlessly as demand dictates. Must be able to execute shipping and logistical tasks promptly to ensure all inventory matters are completed as needed.

This seasonal full-time position includes inventory management and planning, wine club organization, packing, and shipping along with some administration duties. Around 40% of your work will include working as part of our tasting room team by representing our wines and brand to our daily customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Inventory and Shipping Specialist
Monitor and manage overall physical inventory accuracy of finished case goods at our various warehouse locations, monitor physical inventory quantities against inventory quantities reflected in the company POS system
Research and reconcile any inventory variances between inventory counts, every month
Work with the Finance Department in ensuring inventory accuracy and alignment across the physical, logical, and book inventory levels
Manage the Company’s relationships with third-party warehouse vendors to ensure service level performance standards are met
Monitor and manage post-production organization and supply chain plan for finished case goods onsite and at Northwest Storage and Distribution
Identifying and recommending process changes and/or system enhancements to improve inventory-related operational procedures
Perform special projects as assigned
Lead wine club packing and customization processes multiple times per year
Manage wine club and wine library inventory throughout the year
Point person for all DTC shipping
Research and resolve customer issues related to shipping as necessary
Serves as main QC for all outgoing orders, ensuring sustainable shipping accuracy
Partner with the Hospitality Manager for long-term wine club planning and execute shipments for all DTC clubs as scheduled
Communicate directly with the Hospitality Manager to ensure staffing needs are met
Ensure all incoming/outgoing orders are processed promptly
Regularly coordinate with DTC and FOB management for any pending/scheduled orders (new outbound/internal Transfer schedule)
Ensure safety, security, and cleanliness of assigned areas and general workspace
Assist in wine submissions to major wine media outlets

Tasting Room Associate
Ensuring that our tasting room is delivering a superior level of hospitality for our customers
Learn the ins and outs of the Left Coast property and share our story with visitors
Help meet monthly wine club sign-up goals and motivate co-workers to higher achievement
Forge relationships with wine club members and customers alike, be a friendly face at all times
Maintain constant communication with the Tasting Room Manager, Tasting Room Leads, and upper-level management
Help with upkeep in the tasting room and nearby grounds, ensuring clean and organized spaces (watering flowers, etc)
Develop a basic understanding of café happenings and be able to execute simple food orders throughout the weekdays


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one to two years of hospitality experience
College degree not required, but preferred
Knowledge of WineDirect or a similar POS system
Knowledge or interest in warehouse operations and procedures
Organized and attention to detail
Strong Computer and Excel Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly; requires ability to walk, stand, and sit; reach outward and upward, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend; requires hand and finger dexterity for keyboarding for extended periods
