Deerfield Ranch Winery, the home of the CLEAN WINE movement is looking for a fun and energetic tasting room associate to join our team. If you are a people person, sales driven and can work in a sometimes busy environment, then we want to talk to you. Potential for advancement and growth within the company. Winery experience is a plus but not required.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Help create a fun and enjoyable, interactive tasting experience
Be friendly and respectful to our customers and fellow staff
Greet all visitors to the tasting room and pour wines for tasting
Create a positive memorable experience for the guests
Share our story
Knowledgeably answer general and specific questions regarding the wines and winery
Handle routine sales transactions, including operating POS
Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of facilities
Assist with special events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
An outgoing “people person”
A knowledge and passion for premium wines or willingness to learn
A desire to gain In-depth knowledge of the Deerfield Ranch Winery story, our wines and accolades as well as an overall industry knowledge.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Well organized with ability to successfully work independently and without being micromanaged
Must be adaptive to change - we are a small, fast paced winery and frequently make adjustments to better suit our growth and objectives
Results oriented, innovative and strong relationship skills
Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace
The desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with co-workers and guests
Display integrity, character and strong relationship skills
Embrace all company procedures and policies


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift and carry weights of up to 50 lbs for varying frequencies (a case of wine)
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in a retail winery tasting room environment

COMPENSATION
In addition to salary, we offer TIPS and very friendly commission on sales and wine club sign ups.
