North Valley Vineyards is looking to expand our small team of wine professionals! Currently we are seeking a full-time Hospitality Lead position for the North Valley Vineyards & La Biblioteca Winery tasting rooms in downtown Dundee, OR. Both are located within The Dundee Hotel and the position would include splitting your time between the two adjacent tasting environments.

This position requires a hospitality heart, excellent communication skills, and a flexible can-do attitude. Winery hospitality experience rooted in a strong wine education background is strongly preferred and leadership experience is a plus. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Convey the North Valley and La Biblioteca brand stories with a focus on building brand loyalty
•  Provide high-level, educational, and personalized customer service to all visitors
•  Establish relationships with clientele to help maintain referrals and encourage repeat business
•  Serve as second-in-command to our Hospitality Manager, supervising daily operations when the hospitality manager is not available
•  Assist in training, ongoing staff education efforts and conveyance of sales/conversion strategies to tasting room staff
•  Assist in planning, promoting and executing events on and off-site
•  Curate and maintain relationships with hospitality referral sources
•  Availability to work 5 days per week including weekends and some holidays
•  Maintain a friendly, warm, and clean tasting room environment
•  Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and restocking

KNOWLEDGE BASE

•  Knowledge of Willamette Valley wines, region, and wine production as well as local restaurants and lodging operators.
•  Familiarity /experience with operating POS and reservation systems (such as WineDirect and Tock)
•  Any formal wine education such as WSET, CMS, etc. is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

•  3 + years of experience in winery hospitality, fine dining or tasting room sales
•  Passion for wine and eagerness to learn
•  Excellent communication skills
•  Reliable, dependable, professional
•  Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time and lift upwards of 40lbs
•  Have or willing to obtain OLCC Service Permit.
•  Must be able to reliably commute to and from Dundee
•  Can work independently without supervision, as well as a part of a team
