About The Company & Position:

We are a small team vineyard operation that includes over 200 acres planted in Carneros. We are hoping to find an ideal employee that can hit the ground running and be the crew supervisor and liaison between our vineyard crew and the administrative side of the business. We are looking for candidates that possess the following qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years prior experience working in viticulture and in vineyard settings.
- Exhibits knowledge of current viticulture and vineyard management tasks and applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English).
- Ability to manage work teams, both vineyard crew and equipment operators, and delegate vineyard tasks appropriately as needed.
- Detail oriented — able to collect and track vineyard observation data, vineyard crew efficiency and productivity, information needed to complete state and county required reporting, and any other information that is relevant to vineyard management and its practices.
- Experience with or a willingness to learn administrative employee management and onboarding/offboarding procedures. Such as, but not limited to: manage employee hours and complete timesheets for review and submission, facilitate (distribute, review, translate, and collect) the completion of necessary employment documentation, conduct seasonal and onboarding employee training as needed (related training materials will be provided), document health and safety or HR related incidents, and collect or distribute any other related materials from vineyard personnel.
- Ability to teach employees how to complete vineyard management tasks as well as observe and provide feedback and guidance on how to improve performance.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and make last minute adjustments to previously determined plans or schedules based on environmental, external, or internal needs.
- Experience with dismissing and hiring vineyard employees as needed.
- Basic computer skills that include, but are not limited to: email, spreadsheets, vineyard management software, etc.
- Adherence to and enforcement of company rules, regulations, policies, and health and safety programs.
- Confidence in written and verbal bilingual communication skills that are thorough, effective, and proactive.
- Comfortable with encouraging and receiving employee feedback and concerns to share with company administration and management.
- Ability to follow-up and follow-through on any communication regarding responsibilities, decisions, issues, etc.
- Passion for employee equity, health, safety, happiness, and well-being to ensure job satisfaction and that the best possible work environment is provided by administration and management.
- Clean driving record free of any recent DUIs or other related infractions.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
